The Village of Pommerzig in the former Kreis Züllichau-Schwiebus

In October of 2005 I spent a leisurely week looking around in parts of the former Kreis Züllichau-Schwiebus. After many, many years of being able to do not much more than think about all these places, mainly because of my research into the Thiele (of Hahndorf in South Australia) Family Tree, I was finally there! The weather could not have been better, which gave me the opportunity to look around from early in the morning until late in the evening. I managed to visit all the villages and towns that would have been of importance to the Thiele family, and then some. Also met up with many interesting people. The whole experience has left me with memories that have been indelibly edged into my mind. It has also left me with many hundreds of photos most of which I intend to publish on my web site in one form or another.
